Ilfracombe postings

Here are a few highlights of issues discussed in recent Council meetings. 

Car Parks:  

Some years ago the Town Council purchased Ropery Road Car Park; this adds car parking space for tourists in season and generates income for the town reducing the council tax needed to supply services.  

Recently the owners of the High Street Car Park decided to sell it so after a public consultation (https://ilfracombetowncouncil.gov.uk/2025/02/12/public-consultation-itc-purchase-of-high-street-car-park/ the Council decided to purchase it. This will be done through a long term loan and will generate income in the long term, hopefully in the short term as well. Annual Meeting:  

The 2025 Annual Town Meeting, hosted by the Ilfracombe Town Council, will take place on April 23 (Wednesday) in the Great Hall of The Lantern (High Street, EX34 9QB). Now is your opportunity to share your views of what topics should be discussed.  Deadline for this feedback is 4:00 pm, April 9. You can do this in a number of ways: 

1. Fill out the online survey at: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/Ilfracombe-Town-Meeting-2025 (by April 9) 

2. Fill out the form by hand and drop it off at the Council office.

Precept:
